KopiO Coffee Negroni

Bitterness, sharpened.

The Negroni doesn’t need sweetness. It needs depth.

This variation uses KopiO® to replace part of the traditional structure, amplifying bitterness, adding roasted weight, and extending the finish. The result is darker, drier, and more deliberate than the classic.

KopiO reinforces that structure with roasted coffee notes, adding gravity without collapsing the drink into sugar.

Ingredients (Serves 1)

Build

  • 30 ml gin

  • 30 ml Campari

  • 20 ml sweet vermouth

  • 10 ml KopiO® Coffee Liqueur

Garnish

  • Orange peel

Method

1. Chill

Fill a rocks glass with ice.
Cold matters — this drink should stay tight.

2. Stir

Add gin, Campari, sweet vermouth, and KopiO® to a mixing glass filled with ice.
Stir for 20–25 seconds until properly chilled and diluted.

3. Strain

Strain over fresh ice into the prepared glass.

4. Garnish

Express orange peel over the drink.
Discard or rest on the rim. No extras.

Serving Notes

  • Use a gin with backbone, not florals

  • Keep the KopiO measure restrained — structure comes from balance

  • Serve cold, no dilution creep
